No Shorts is a Chrome extension that hides YouTube Shorts and, if you turn it on, replaces YouTube’s Subscriptions page with a chronological list of uploads from channels you follow.
Data the extension stores
Settings and a local cache live in Chrome’s extension storage on your computer:
- On/off state for “No Shorts” and “All Subscriptions”
- A cached list of channels you subscribe to, plus recent upload metadata (title, publish time, thumbnail URL, category, duration) used to build the chronological feed
That data is not sent to the extension author or to any analytics or advertising service.
Data read from YouTube
When you are signed into YouTube, the extension runs on youtube.com and may request pages and feeds YouTube already exposes to your browser (subscription list, RSS, player metadata) so it can hide Shorts and assemble the feed. Those requests go to YouTube, not to a third-party server operated by No Shorts.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, email addresses, or passwords
- No usage tracking, crash reports, or advertising identifiers
- No sale or sharing of personal information
